Phil and Trish Palmer are certified organic lamb producers at Overnewton Station near Ivanhoe in western New South Wales. The farm operation is a family affair with their sons, their wives and children working the farm with them.
This family farming operation currently run Dorper’s on their pastoral country. Dorper is a breed of sheep that is fast becoming favourable in areas of organic production, as they lend themselves to requiring minimal inputs, which is key to success in organic farming.
