Ingredients

Beef, Bacon & Cheese Hotdog

  1. ½ pack Cleaver’s Organic Beef Hotdogs
  2. 3 soft white hotdog rolls
  3. 100g grated cheese
  4. 3 rashers of bacon
  5. 120g sautéed sliced brown onion

 

Beef, Cheese & Coleslaw Hotdog

  1. ½ packet Cleaver’s Organic Beef Hotdogs
  2. 3 soft white hotdog rolls
  3. 100g grated cheese
  4. 150g coleslaw dressed with mayonnaise

 

Additional personalised extras

  1. Sauerkraut
  2. American style mustard
  3. Tomato sauce

Method

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (180° fan-forced). Bring a medium saucepan to a simmer on the stove.
  • Place bacon on a lined baking tray and place in oven on top shelf for 8 minutes.
  • In preheated medium saucepan, place beef hotdogs in for 6 minutes. Make a cut in buns and fill with grated cheese. Place buns on a separate baking tray and place in oven on bottom shelf for 4 minutes.
  • Preheat frying pan on stove to medium heat and add a little cooking oil. Slice brown onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent, or caramelised if preferred.
  • In a bowl mix coleslaw with mayonnaise and season with salt.
  • To assemble hotdogs – Remove all ingredients from cooking and fill three rolls with bacon, hotdogs and onions. Fill other three with hotdog and coleslaw. Serve with condiments on the side.
