BEEF SCOTCH FILLET STEAK WITH CREAMY MASHED POTATOES

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 x Cleaver’s Organic & Grass Fed Beef Scotch Fillet Steaks
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 30g butter or margarine
  • Pinch of salt
  • Salt & pepper to season

METHOD

  1. Bring steak to room temperature
  2. Preheat pan or BBQ to hot
  3. Drizzle steak with oil and season with salt and pepper
  4. Cook for 3.5 minutes on each side for medium well
  5. Rest for 5 minutes
  6. Peel and chop the potatoes, add to boiling salted water until just soft
  7. Drain the water then put the potatoes back on the stove top, this time on low heat
  8. Add the margarine and quickly mash the potatoes, beat in the milk (add more if needed), then remove from the heat
  9. Cook broccolini in a covered dish with 1 tablespoon of water for 2 minutes in microwave
  10. Serve steak with broccolini and mashed potato
