Beef, Bacon & Cheese Hotdog
- ½ pack Cleaver’s Organic Beef Hotdogs
- 3 soft white hotdog rolls
- 100g grated cheese
- 3 rashers of bacon
- 120g sautéed sliced brown onion
Beef, Cheese & Coleslaw Hotdog
- ½ packet Cleaver’s Organic Beef Hotdogs
- 3 soft white hotdog rolls
- 100g grated cheese
- 150g coleslaw dressed with mayonnaise
Additional personalised extras
- Sauerkraut
- American style mustard
- Tomato sauce
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 200°C (180° fan-forced). Bring a medium saucepan to a simmer on the stove.
- Place bacon on a lined baking tray and place in oven on top shelf for 8 minutes.
- In preheated medium saucepan, place beef hotdogs in for 6 minutes. Make a cut in buns and fill with grated cheese. Place buns on a separate baking tray and place in oven on bottom shelf for 4 minutes.
- Preheat frying pan on stove to medium heat and add a little cooking oil. Slice brown onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent, or caramelised if preferred.
- In a bowl mix coleslaw with mayonnaise and season with salt.
- To assemble hotdogs – Remove all ingredients from cooking and fill three rolls with bacon, hotdogs and onions. Fill other three with hotdog and coleslaw. Serve with condiments on the side.
