INGREDIENTS

Beef, Bacon & Cheese Hotdog

  • ½ pack Cleaver’s Organic Beef Hotdogs
  • 3 soft white hotdog rolls
  • 100g grated cheese
  • 3 rashers of bacon
  • 120g sautéed sliced brown onion

Beef, Cheese & Coleslaw Hotdog

  • ½ packet Cleaver’s Organic Beef Hotdogs
  • 3 soft white hotdog rolls
  • 100g grated cheese
  • 150g coleslaw dressed with mayonnaise

Additional personalised extras

  • Sauerkraut
  • American style mustard
  • Tomato sauce

METHOD

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (180° fan-forced). Bring a medium saucepan to a simmer on the stove.
  2. Place bacon on a lined baking tray and place in oven on top shelf for 8 minutes.
  3. In preheated medium saucepan, place beef hotdogs in for 6 minutes. Make a cut in buns and fill with grated cheese. Place buns on a separate baking tray and place in oven on bottom shelf for 4 minutes.
  4. Preheat frying pan on stove to medium heat and add a little cooking oil. Slice brown onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent, or caramelised if preferred.
  5. In a bowl mix coleslaw with mayonnaise and season with salt.
  6. To assemble hotdogs – Remove all ingredients from cooking and fill three rolls with bacon, hotdogs and onions. Fill other three with hotdog and coleslaw. Serve with condiments on the side.
