SAUSAGES & GREEN PEAS, JULIENNED CARROTS, MASH WITH GRAVY AND ONIONS

INGREDIENTS

  • Cleaver’s Organic & Grass Fed Beef Sausages
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 30g butter or margarine
  • Gravy packet mix
  • 1 sliced onion
  • Green peas
  • Carrots
  • Pinch of salt

METHOD

  1. Heat a frying pan on low heat, spray with non-stick spray to prevent the sausages sticking
  2. Start cooking the Cleaver’s Organic & Grass Fed Beef Sausages
  3. Peel and chop the potatoes, add to salted water and boil until just soft
  4. Drain the water then put the potatoes back on the stovetop, this time on low heat
  5. Add the milk and quickly mash the potatoes, beat in the milk (add more if needed), then remove from the heat and cover to keep hot
  6. Cook sliced onions in a pan on medium heat
  7. Julienne carrots, add peas and cook covered in the microwave with a tablespoon of water for 2 mins (depending on your microwave), or use stove top if you have the space
  8. Make gravy according to instructions on the pack
  9. Plate up mash with sausages, vegetables, onions and gravy

TIPS

  • Use Desiree or Sebago potatoes if they’re available, as they’re ideal for mashing
  • If your family don’t eat onions, then replace with corn, broccoli, beans or cauliflower
